What Are Essential Oils? And what they can do for you?
What Are Essential Oils?
Aromatic essential oils are the highly concentrated essences derived from plants. Used today in aromatherapy, luxurious skincare products, and fragrances, they have a long history in natural healing and effectiveness. The oils harness a plant’s therapeutic properties to restore balance to the mind, body, and spirit.
The Plant’s Essence
The aromatic compounds in essential oils are thought to help plants survive, for example, by attracting pollinators and warding off fungus and bacteria. Once extracted, essential oils contain the essence of a plant in a very concentrated form, which means the essential oils often smell delightful and retain the plant’s unique therapeutic benefits for our use.
